It's A String Thing #46

It's been a while since I participated in a String Thing Challenge.  I have had quite a few birthdays and celebrations that I worked on gifts for, so I've been busy.  It's great to sink my teeth into one of these challenges again.  Absolutely every tangle pattern I have used in this tile is a first!  I have never used them before, so I was sooooo out of my comfort zone, it shows too haha!  As I was working on the tile I tried to get a sense of how CZT Sue Jacobs felt when she created the patterns.  They are concise patterns, giving you a firm starting place and a clear finish.  I like that, they are very definitive.  Until next time.

Diva's Weekly Challenge #173

Diva's Weekly Challenge - "Redux, Remix and Revisit" - any challenge that I can use "Quib" is a challenge I adore.  I've tried to remix it by weaving it with another pattern and I like the affect I've achieved.  I find "Quib" to be a very freeing pattern, one that actually breathes and grows as you draw it, it's a pattern that has a life of its own.  Much loved and much adored by yours truly.

Lettering Art

Hello everyone, I have been spending some time studying different styles of art lately and I've been playing around with graffiti style lettering and some manga, Japanese anime.  I have also been concentrating on lettering, fonts and typography and tonight I thought I would share a drawing I have done of my name.  I've drawn it in Old English and combined it with tribal style graphics as a border.  I'm pleased with how it's turned out.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Diva's Weekly Challenge #170

This week the Diva challenged us to use the "Bugle" tangle pattern.  I thought it would look really cool to do "Bugle" large scale, so I've only used the pattern once, but I've filled the tile with it.  I've used "Footlites" to highlight it and have filled in the edges of "Bugle" with a pattern I use very often, but don't know the name of.  Any CZT's care to fill me in?  Thanks for another great challenge Madam Diva :)
Until next week

Sunday Love

Sunday Love - today's drawing was inspired by Job 38:24-25 MSG ..... “Can you find your way to where lightning is launched, or to the place from which the wind blows? Who do you suppose carves canyons for the downpours of rain."  Such awesome verses that showcase the mightiness of God ❤️❤️
